CROSS COUNTRY TRAINING IN 2024

We are so excited to be opening up our new purpose-built cross-country training facility. Some 5 years in the creation, with ground works and landscaping we now have a 23-acre re-landscaped field has been designed to train horses over undulating mounds, gullies and rolling dips, to develop their technique for when they are out competing on the Eventing circuit.

Set in the stunning West Sussex countryside with views of the South Downs, this course delivers the feel of being out at a competition course, with room to open up the horses along the grass canter track that extends around the perimeter of the field, before returning to the jumps.

The jumps are all competition grade, with heights starting from BE100 level all beautifully crafted by the Willis Brothers.

We have currently capped the sessions to 6 riders per hour to allow you to enjoy the space. If larger groups are required or if you are wanting to train with friends please email to allow an extension on the cap.

The ground is coming together well and we have sheep grazing it through the Winter with the ambition to open early March. This is to ensure you have the best experience over the course with sound ground with good grass cover to ride over.

Slitting, rolling and topping will be maintained through the year to ensure the best ground is maintained along with regular relocation of the fences. With the questions progressively increasing through the year, before softening later in the season to allow younger horses some training.

Day camps and training camps will be arranged and for these please do keep a close eye on social media for dates.

Booking can be made through Equivent or on the diary page here
