Based at Homelands Equestrian in West Sussex, Ben Leathers is a BHSI and British Eventing Accredited Coach, offering professional coaching and training for horses and riders across a range of disciplines and abilities.
With extensive practical experience in eventing and show jumping, both as a coach and a competitive rider, Ben brings a knowledgeable, straightforward and supportive approach to every training session. His aim is to help each combination develop confidence, improve performance and achieve their individual goals, whether preparing for competition or simply looking to become a more effective and confident partnership.
Coaching is tailored to the needs of the individual horse and rider, with sessions covering eventing, show jumping, dressage, flatwork, jumping technique and general horsemanship. From developing the fundamentals to refining performance at higher levels, Ben places emphasis on establishing strong foundations, improving communication and producing confident, capable horses and riders.
Based at Homelands Equestrian, Ben has access to an excellent range of training facilities, including the new fibre-mix arena, grass show jumping and dressage areas, and the extensive cross-country course. This allows training to be tailored to individual requirements, with opportunities to develop skills progressively across different disciplines.
Ben welcomes riders of all ages and abilities, offering individual lessons, structured training programmes and group clinics. His approach combines professional standards with a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere, recognising that every horse and rider is different.
